Literature Text

The 8th of every month is our Valentine's Day.

I don't need the presents.
I don't need the flowers.
I don't need a card filled with cooperate America's thoughts on true love.
I don't need this designated day to show you that I care for you.
Who knew that I'd be as happy as I am just receiving a phone call and hearing your voice?
Who knew that such a wonderful thing came from a few laughs and being with you for 14 hours the first day we met.
It's amazing to find someone to connect with.
We don't share the same brain.
Half the time, we don't even agree.
But we connect.
Emotionally.
Physically.
Mentally.

Most think we're strange.
Some think we're crazy.
A few would even call us obsessed.
What do they expect from two Pisces, borderline Aries, from the same hometown, from the same high school, with two teenage brothers, mothers into country furnishings for the home, ghetto yet not, chubby cheeked kids?

We've been inseparable since day one.
You know what I'm going to say and you always seem to know what I'm thinking.
For someone who hasn't known me that long, you know me better than anyone who's ever come into my life.

Forget this Valentine's Day.
We don't need it.
You are special to me, and I'd tell you everyday if I had to.
But I don't have to. You just know.
I despise Valentine's Day. This doesn't stem from the bitterness of spending every one of them alone, no. I see it as a pointless holiday. A "friend" of mine celebrate Valentine's Day when we feel like it. The whole point of the holiday is to make your significant other feel special, right? He does. And I do.

I completely agree, that's such a sweet piece.
People always said I was only anti-valentine because I managed to be single on every valentine's day till now - but this year I wasn't, and still, I think it's ridiculous.
Down with Hallmark Holidays! =P
